Sunday After Church

picture-019_resize_mod001.jpg

Sunday evening, after church was over some youths from church proposed to go out. It was very nice to be invited, for the first time to go out with them. But unfortunately I had to go to the coach stop to pick up the food that my parents sent. So, I went to take the food from the bus. But after that I phoned the guys and asked where they were. Me, my sister and someone else went and meet the others at the palace. Some of the people played hop-scotch. Then we head for the lighted cross that can be seen from the city during the night. It was a great time I enjoyed. Still i have to get used to them before I unleash myself 😀

The Kingdom of God on Earth is His Church

And Jesus was saying to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.” Mark 9:1

Today I was reading this passage. I found a strange promise. Jesus said that some of the people that were listening to Him that day would not die until they see the kingdom of God. I thought in the first place that it is a false statement. That something is wrong in there. My conception is that the kingdom of God will be in Heaven. So, I did some research to see what the kingdom of God means in this passage. Reading other passages from the Bible I realized that the kingdom of God also means the church of God. Here are those passages: Continue reading The Kingdom of God on Earth is His Church

Bible passage

(31) He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. (32) He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. (33) But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Continue reading sky level perspective

Barbecue Day Semi-Fiasco

Once again I have been disappointed by the Christian Students Group. Last week it was said that on Saturday we’ll meet and go to barbecue. On Friday, at the big weekly meeting at least 10 people said that will go on Saturday to barbecue. There was a condition indeed. If it would rain, then we do not go.

Love is patient

Love

  • is patient
  • is kind
  • does not envy
  • does not boast
  • is not proud
  • is not rude
  • is not self-seeking
  • is not easily angered
  • keeps no record of wrongs
  • does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
  • always protects
  • always trusts
  • always hopes
  • always perseveres
  • never fails

I Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is an act of will, is not something that is in the air as some may say. I realized this morning that if I want to love somebody than I have to check all the above characteristics. That is the definition of love, of true love. I want to take it step by step. So today I’ll start with the first one: “Love is patient“. I pray that today God would help me to be patient, and to grow patience within me. Pray with me for patience.

why do Christians need GodTube?

There is a dilemma regarding the purpose of GodTube.com. Most are carried by the wave… Wow! Cool! There is something in there! Anything new is great, unaffected by the purpose. There are two opinions. One that says that GodTube.com is simple stupid because of the fact that Christians tend to create a subculture of their own instead of reaching out. The other one says that GodTube.com is not that worthless as it seems. In fact it is need for much easily access to Christian resources.

I agree with both. Deep down they do not even contradict with each other. Just the titles might contradict, their conclusions have nothing in common. I would say that YouTube.com is like a huge supermarket. You can find anything in there, from food to cars. But mostly products for the large masses, for everyone. But when you jut want cakes, why should we go miles and miles away to the supermarket and there look for the bakery and then look for cakes? When I want cakes I go to a special place where they sell cakes, maybe downtown in a special restaurant for cakes. So my point is that it is important to reach out, to broadcast on YouTube.com, but in the same time not to forget our needs, and our growth in Him
