At church we are told about how great is that guy or that lady. And we might feel discouraged. Let me tell you something: all those biblical heroes were humans just like me and you .
In the Bible we are also told the mistakes of some of the greatest people that ever existed . Yes, they did stupid things like I do most of the times. They sinned, they were discouraged, they forgot that there is a God, they disobeyed God and His Son – Jesus Christ.

God in dependable love shows up on time,

lest my people forget.
Bring them down in slow motion,
take them apart piece by piece.
Let all their mean-mouthed arrogance
catch up with them,
Catch them out and bring them down
—every muttered curse
—every barefaced lie.
Finish them off in fine style!
Finish them off for good!
Then all the world will see
that God rules well in Jacob,
everywhere that God’s in charge.14-15 They return when the sun goes down,

They scavenge for bones,

Life complicates it self with every day. New temptations knock at out door. Satan gets more slyly with time. So, we have to fight harder. It is good to know that God is infinite in His power. This means that always to have the tools to win the spiritual war against the dark forces .
We can see from the life of Old Testament heroes and the life of Jesus and latter the apostles and the first christians that the spiritual warfare changed . In the latter times it got more subtle . I would like to have the life of David. Not necessary to be glorious, but to get to know God at least as David did. David trusted the Lord in the details of his life. I can not say that in every tiny one, because the Bible does not say about every second of his life. But we can learn from David’s victories. Those victories were because David trusted God .
