The advice of the day – love, build yourselves, pray in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves, patiently wait

34 I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another.

John 13:34

20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;

21 Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)–[which will bring you] unto life eternal.

Jude 1:20-21

PS: Lately I do not know why, but I paused posting in here. The easiest excuse would be the lack of time. But, actually it is a lack of planning. I apologize to all my readers. I am sorry

Wise Pieces of Advice for Your Life – Christian Perspective – Proverbs 13:13-25

The wise pieces of advice for your life for today, based on the Christian perspective, are from Proverbs 13:13-25:

  • obey God’s Word, because you will surely be rewarded;
  • listen to what the wise man tells you, because it is a river of life that saves you from death for foolishness;
  • gain as much wisdom, because this is what will ease your path;
  • always work with data, know all the circumstances and research first before taking a decision;
  • if you do not appreciate when someone tells that you made a mistake then shame and poverty is your future;
  • walk with the wise and you will become one of them;
  • depart from sin and you will be rewarded with happiness;
  • if you love your children discipline them when needed;
  • wishing to do good things and actually doing them brings a lot of satisfaction;

13 Ignore the Word and suffer;
honor God’s commands and grow rich.

14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life,
so, no more drinking from death-tainted wells!

15 Sound thinking makes for gracious living,
but liars walk a rough road.

16 A commonsense person lives good sense;
fools litter the country with silliness.

17 Irresponsible talk makes a real mess of things,
but a reliable reporter is a healing presence.

18 Refuse discipline and end up homeless;
embrace correction and live an honored life.

19 Souls who follow their hearts thrive;
fools bent on evil despise matters of soul.

20 Become wise by walking with the wise;
hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.

21 Disaster entraps sinners,
but God-loyal people get a good life.

22 A good life gets passed on to the grandchildren;
ill-gotten wealth ends up with good people.

23 Banks foreclose on the farms of the poor,
or else the poor lose their shirts to crooked lawyers.

24 A refusal to correct is a refusal to love;
love your children by disciplining them.

25 An appetite for good brings much satisfaction,
but the belly of the wicked always wants more.

Proverbs 13:13-25

Children Learn What They Live And See Others’ Living

by Duen Hsi Yen adaptation from Dorothy L. Nolte

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to feel discouraged
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to feel angry
If a child lives with violence, he learns to feel afraid
If a child lives with dishonesty, he learns to feel suspicious
If a child lives with judgment, he learns to feel guilty
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to feel ashamed
If a child lives with disorder, he learns to feel confused
If a child lives with disappointment, he learns to feel helpless
If a child lives with silence, he learns to feel lonely

BUT

If a child lives with protection, he learns to feel safe
If a child lives with honesty, he learns to feel trustful
If a child lives with peace, he learns to feel calm
If a child lives with sharing, he learns to feel thankful
If a child lives with understanding, he learns to feel encouraged
If a child lives with laughter, he learns to feel happy
If a child lives with creativity, he learns to feel inspired
If a child lives with choice, he learns to feel free
If a child lives with community, he learns to feel supported
If a child lives with accomplishment, he learns to feel confident
If a child lives with meaning, he learns to feel fulfilled
If a child lives with love, he learns to feel tender

WITH WHAT IS YOUR CHILD LIVING?
